That's a really good question, and here is what the comprehensive plan for the lake currently looks like. When you're taking a closer look at this map you can see that there are only a few areas that will allow any type of residential or commercial development. Everything that you see in blue is owned by the North Texas Water Municipal District and will not be developed for residential or commercial use.
The yellow areas represent space that has been determined for larger residential lots of one acre or more, and the orange areas represent residential areas that will be less than one acre. Everything that you see in red represents where there will be commercial and retail development. And the green circles also represent where they hope to have future proposed marinas.
